UFC welterweight’s Max Griffin and Ramiz Brahimaj put on a exciting back and forth scrap that had fans excited. The grizzly veteran in Max won the day via TKO at 02:03 of the final round. Chiefly, the finish came after a nasty cut split open Ramiz’ ear and left behind a gruesome scene.
The nasty split almost caused his ear to rip off cleanly and it was hanging out on towards the left side. The referee in charge of the action certainly couldn’t allow the fight to go on much longer.

The Fortis MMA stand-out in Brahimaj came in as the favorite but wasn’t able to keep up with Griffin’s pace. Max ‘Pain’ is lethal in the pocket and had the clear-cut advantage once the fight entered close range. MMA pundits and fans believed that the clearest path the victory for Ramiz was through leg kicks and effective distance management. However, the injury took away his opportunity to launch a comeback.

The 16-8 fighter in Griffin broke a two-fight skid when he managed to beat out Ramiz Brahimaj. The win was critical from the divisional rankings stand-point as he aims to break through the top 15. The welterweight division is a shark tank of talents fighter and he’ll have to be consistent in his next outings.

The brutal injury to Brahimaj suffered came after a round that he decisively lost on the scorecard. Ramiz was outgunned in the second-round as Max finished off strong, unofficially landing 43 strikes. Chiefly, this increase in volume could be looked at as the deciding factor as the tide of the bout began to sway. Ramiz has now lost his UFC debut and he’ll have to go back to the drawing board. However, the potential he’s shown thus far could carry him a long way in the UFC.
The aforementioned scrap was strategically placed as on of the opening preliminary card match-ups. The UFC recognized the finishing ability that both fighters had that made it an exciting contest from the get-go. Moreover, the welterweight division in itself has picked up a lot of steam as fans have gravitated towards the stars in the division.
