Anderson and Columbus had been discussing a deal, but the team was reportedly unwilling to commit to the term sought by Anderson after an injury riddled season.
Anderson leaves Columbus with 65 goals and 115 points in 267 career games.
Max Domi comes in as a center, filling a position of need for the Blue Jackets. Domi had 17-27-44 for the Canadiens this season and has 251 career points in 375 career games.
The third-round pick acquired by #CBJ in the Anderson for Domi trade is in this year’s draft.#CBJ did not have a third-round pick before this trade.
