BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) - After a snowy start to the weekend, our weather is looking a little quieter on Sunday. Still we have another weather system heading mainly south of our region late in the day, that will bring another chance of some light snow to our region. Most of the day will feature mostly cloudy skies with a few breaks of sunshine. Highs will top out in the low to mid 30s.
On Sunday night, the weather system will move through southern New England, with the chance for some light snow, especially in southern Vermont. Most of us can expect a dusting to a half inch of new snow by Monday morning, but some areas and southern Vermont could wake up to as much as an inch or two.
We’ll keep the clouds around on Monday with some lingering snow showers possible, especially in the morning, with little to no additional accumulation. The area of low pressure will stall out along the New England coast through mid week with additional cloudy skies and the chance of snow showers through Wednesday.
Once the system finally heads out by late week, temperatures will turn a little colder. Plan on partly to mostly cloudy skies on Friday and into the weekend, with highs in the mid to upper 20s.
