MERIDIAN, Miss. (WTOK) -
The Mississippi Arts and Entertainment Experience is combining the Fourth of July and the first Saturday into one big family picnic.
Whether it’s rain or shine, folks will be able to enjoy a good time at the MAX Saturday at discounted prices of $5 for adults and only $1 for children. You are encouraged to pack a picnic lunch and social distance on the beautiful new lawn at the MAX and enjoy the music of Britt Gully on the courtyard stage at noon. They’ll also be free watermelon, plenty of games and a food truck.
“This fourth of July, we know there’s not a lot of activities taking place around town so we wanted to make sure we had live music and lots of activities for people,” said MAX marketing director Jerome Trahan. “And it’s rain or shine, inside or out. It’s hot outside but inside the Max, it’s cool, 48,000 square feet of air conditioned space for the entire family.”
The MAX is open from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. tomorrow. For more information, you can visit the MAX’s website at msarts.org.
