"First Take" may have minimal Max in the coming months.

Per Front Office Sports' Mike McCarthy, Max Kellerman, co-host of ESPN's "First Take," could be eyeing an exit from the show. Kellerman has hosted the debate show alongside Stephen A. Smith since 2016.

Front Office Sports' report indicates that Kellerman may be eyeing an "expanded role" on ESPN Radio, on which he has hosted an all-sports talk show since 2020.

Should Kellerman leave, the show may not feature a co-host, and rather would be focused on Smith with a rotating panel of guests to debate various sports topics.

Kellerman may also be tapped for a spot on ESPN Radio's morning show, "Keyshawn, J. Will and Zubin."

The long-time sports analyst, Kellerman also handles boxing duties for ESPN as an analyst and commentator. His roots with the "Worldwide Leader" run deep: Kellerman was the original host of ESPN's "Around the Horn" sports talk game show in 2000, before leaving the network to host a show on the Fox Sports Network in the early 2000s.

Kellerman succeeded Skip Bayless as co-host on the show in 2016, returning to ESPN airwaves.

"First Take" has garnered a cult following for the show's debate format and hot-take culture.
